Buderim

An in-flight survey some years ago conducted by an international airline discovered that Buderim, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia was a preferred and demographically “perfect place to live”.  In fact Paris and Aspen Colorado were the only two destinations in the world preferred over Buderim.

Buderim is a quaint township atop Buderim Mountain overlooking Queensland’s spectacular Sunshine Coast, a charming, ambient village with incredible community spirit, the kind of place that once you visit; you will always want to return to. The secret is now out and we are experiencing the impact our fabulous village has on the global real estate stage.

Stepping out from a predominantly farming heritage at the turn of the century, early 1900’s Buderim was serviced by a “shey” steam locomotive service, which transported produce and people off the mountain where connecting road transport conveyed them to Brisbane.  The rich volcanic soils and regular rainfall has always been a trademark of Buderim and for most part of the year, the gardens and Jacaranda lined streets are on show.

Stroll along Buderim’s main street, taking time to browse through the old town, our specialty shops, or take some time to discover Buderim’s superb art gallery. You could even step back in time at Buderim’s Pioneer Cottage; built in 1876 it is now listed with the National Trust. For a dash of culture, be entertained by the latest BATS theatre productions at Buderim’s Memorial Hall. Take a Sunday afternoon drive and you will view a myriad of Buderim’s finest gardens, homes and panoramas; the Lions Park lookout is the ideal spot to view the picturesque coastal panorama. You can linger over breakfast or lunch in Buderim any day of the week with our numerous cafes abuzz with visitors, residents, famous locals and businesspeople taking a break over great coffee.. And; as the sun goes down, Buderim restaurants come alive with tantalising tastes from around the globe. Think of Buderim as your sanctuary, a quiet place to return to after a long day, the perfect place to take it easy, relax and unwind.

The geography of Buderim is such that ‘Buderim on Top’, as it is affectionately known, is a ‘Mesa’ or plateau, which sits just under 180 metres or 600 feet above sea level.  Because its location is just off the coast as little as seven minutes drive, and a scenic drive to the beautiful Montville, Maleny, Mapleton, Nambour hinterland, Buderim enjoys a temperate sub tropical climate with an average daytime temperature at 22°, winter 16°, summer 30° and the plateau always attracts cool coastal breezes which takes the peak off those steamy January/February days.  Some of the Worlds finest surfing beaches, safe deepwater harbour, Domestic airport, state of the art shopping centres and commercial districts are but ten minutes away.

Enjoy the Experience!
